The 2006 film Date Movie is a spoof on hit romantic comedies such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Bridget Jones's Diary and Hitch. It was directed and written by the writers of Scary Movie, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.
A sequel, Date Movie 2, is planned for a 2009 release.
