Charlotte teen Darryl Wayne Turner died on March 21, 2008 after being tasered by police officers at a Food Lion grocery store where he was an employee. The officers say they saw Wayne throwing something at the store manager and looking "agitated," and that he ignored several commands and warnings. Turner's mother, Tammy Fontenot, says that she had sent her 17-year-old son to the store to return Hot Pockets he had confessed to stealing.
