Darryl Sydor is a professional hockey player currently playing with the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League. Sydor was traded to the Stars from the Pittsburgh Penguins on November 16, 2008, in exchange for Philippe Boucher.TSN.ca: Penguins, Stars Swap Veteran Blueliners
On September 25, Sydor signed a 1-yr contract with the St. Louis Blues.

Early Career
Sydor began his career with the Kamloops Blazers in the Western Hockey league, starting in 1988. He was drafted seventh overall in the 1990 NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Sydor made his NHL debut with the Kings during the 1991-92 regular season. In just his second season in the league he helped the Kings reach the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals, where they fell to the Montreal Canadiens. He played with the Kings for a total of five seasons before he was traded to the Dallas Stars on February 17, 1996. Sydor returned to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999, as the Stars defeated the Buffalo Sabres to become league champions.Recent Years
A July 22, 2003, trade sent Sydor to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Just 49 games and six months later, he was sent to the Tampa Bay Lightning, on January 27, 2004. Sydor helped his new team win the 2004 Stanley Cup Championships, over the Calgary Flames. Sydor did not play during the 2004-05 NHL lockout, then was traded back to the Dallas Stars on July 2, 2006. He played one season in Dallas before entering free agency and signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 2, 2007.-
