Basketball Career
Arthur played high school basketball at South Oak Cliff High School, winning the Texas state championship in 2005 in 2006. He was selected as the Dallas Morning News Player of the Year in 2006 as well as All-American. Later in 2006, Arthur enrolled at the University of Kansas. He started seven games his freshman year and averaged 9.8 points per game. During his sophomore season, Arthur led the team in blocks and helped the Jayhawks win the 2008 NCAA Championship.Kansas Jayhawks: Darrell ArthurOn June 26, 2008, Arthur was drafted 27th overall in the NBA draft by the New Orleans Hornets.
