Darko Milicic is a professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association.

On December 28, 2008, news agencies reported that Darko Milicic will miss 4-6 weeks of the NBA season due to a broken knuckle on his right ring finger. The injury was sustained several days earlier in a game against the Indiana Pacers. Grizzlies head coach Mike Ivaroni stated, "We're back to starting three youngsters a lot. Darko Milicic was born in Novi Sad, Serbia on June 20, 1985. He attended high school at Hemiska High School. In 2003, Milicic was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the second pick in the NBA draft.Basketball-Reference.com: Darko Milicic

In his first several seasons with the Pistons, Milicic failed to earn a spot in the regular rotation. In three seasons, the most games he played in was 37 during the 2004 - 2005 campaign. He never averaged above 1.8 points per game during his time with the Pistons. In 2006, Milicic was traded to the Orlando Magic. Milicic signed as a free agent with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2007.
