Dark Streets

Adapted from a screenplay by Wallace King, Dark Streets is a self-described "film noir musical fantasy". Set around Chaz Davenport in 1930s New Orleans, he has recently opened up a new blues club called The Tower that's threatened by city blackouts and money problems. Caught in the middle of a love triangle and investigating his father's death, people close to Davenport begin to die as he begins to delve further into the mysteries of his life.

The soundtrack for Dark Streets features twelve original songs written by James Compton, Bijou Phillips and Tony DeMeur. Producer George Acogny teamed up with Natalie Cole, Aaron Neville, Chaka Khan and Richie Sambora to perform the songs. Acogny also assisted in the composition for the film's score.
