Darfur Now is a documentary film about six people from around the world who, through various avenues, are trying to educate the world about the human rights atrocities occurring in the Darfur region of Sudan. The film details their attempts to stop the genocide and bring peace, justice and much needed aid to the millions that are suffering.
Reviews
Although no reviewer can deny that the stories presented are moving, timely, and must be told, some reviewers felt that the film did not provide enough background information about the genocide in Sudan for those who are not already familiar with the issues. Others questioned the inclusion of celebrities Don Cheadle and George Clooney among the crusaders or felt that the film was self-congratulatory and mistakenly portrayed the Darfur problem as virtually solved.
