Danzig is a heavy metal band with blues influences, fronted by singer Glenn Danzig. The band released its self titled album in 1988. In 1992, following the release of their third album, the band released an EP which featured several live tracks. One of live tracks on the EP was the single "Mother", which was also on the debut album. The new version became popular on hard rock radio stations, and a video of live footage was featured on MTV's animated show Beavis and Butthead, finally brining the group to the mainstream.
