14-year-old Danny Johnson from Grapevine, Texas, set a world record on February 4, 2009 after recording a score of 973,954 on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock's "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce on expert difficulty. Often considered the most difficult song in the game, Johnson beat the previous record of 899,703 at a planned media event at the midtown Manhattan Best Buy store.
