Actor Daniel Radcliffe is scheduled to perform on Broadway in the production of Equus, according to sources. Radcliffe will reportedly appear naked in the psychological thriller. The production is set to run for 22 weeks beginning on September 5, 2008 at the "Broadhurst Theatre" in New York. Equus made it's debut on Broadway in 1974 and ran until 1977 winning the Tony Award for the best play in 1975. Radcliffe made this statement to "Reuters," "The prospect of acting in New York was terrifying. It will be amazing, but I will be terrified because I was talking to Richard Griffiths about playing New York and he said the most stupid thing you can do is underestimate New York audiences. I would be very nervous because I think (the audiences are) even more discerning than in London." In 2007, Radcliffe starred in an eight week run of the production in London.
