Career
So far, Daniel Powter is best known for his hit "Bad Day," which was Billboard's #1 song of 2006. The song, which was used extensively by Coca-Cola and American Idol for their programming, topped the charts in the U.S., Canada, Italy and Ireland, and hit the Top 10 in almost every other country.
The single also garnered Powter a "Best Pop Vocal" Grammy nomination in 2007.
Subsequent singles off his 2005 self-titled album, like "Free Loop" and "Jimmy Gets High," have not charted as well, though Powter maintains a considerable amount of popularity in his native Canada.
