August 9, 2008: 66-year-old Daniel Perry Dryden and his wife were attacked while their sailboat was anchored in northeastern Guatemala. Four men boarded their boat and stabbed the couple with machetes as they demanded cash. Danial Perry Dryden was killed and his wife, Nancy Dryden, was left seriously wounded.
