Early Life
Daniel Hiram Gibson was born in Houston, Texas on February 27, 1986. He would attend Jesse H. Jones High School where he would lead the team to a State Championship. He would go on to attend the University of Texas at Austin. He would play two season at the University where he would be named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. He would announce his decision in 2006 to declare for the NBA Draft.Pro Career
Gibson would be selected with the 42nd pick in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. His first year would start slowly by by the end of the season he was named starter by coach Mike Brown. He would help the Cavs in their successful playoff run, reaching all the way to the NBA Finals where they would eventually lose to the San Antonio Spurs.Daniel Gibson Timeline
