Canadian professional hockey player Daniel Briere plays for the Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League.

NHL Career
Briere was drafted 24th overall in the 1996 NHL draft by the Phoenix Coyotes. He joined the Coyotes in 1997 for his NHL debut and split his first four seasons between the Coyotes and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons. In 2001, Briere earned a full roster spot with the Coyotes and played with the team until March 10, 2003, when he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres. He played two seasons with the Sabres, then joined the SC Bern in Switzerland during the 2004-05 NHL lockout. After two additional seasons with the Sabres, Briere signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Flyers on July 1, 2007.
Briere missed two weeks of playing time starting in October of 2008, after undergoing abdominal surgery.
