Daniel Boone was an American pioneer during the late 1700s. He spent most of his life exploring territory in present-day Kentucky, West Virginia and Missouri. He has become a frontiersman legend through numerous portrayals in popular culture, most notably a 1964 TV series of the same name. Known for wearing a coonskin cap.
