Dancing with the Stars Week 7
- 4/20 Welcome! Tonight the contestants will dance two dances. This week the costumes were all designed by the stars! Also tonight is the season's first group dance.
- First couple up tonight is Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani. Last week Bruno told Melissa her romantic Rumba was more nice than naughty. The Argentine Tango is the perfect dance for Melissa to prove to Bruno she can be a man-eater. Tony decided to take Melissa to the one place on ABC were the women are all man-eaters, to meet Teri Hatcher on the Desperate Housewives set.
- Len Goodman: Thinks it was fantastic. Loved the lifts and thought she executed them beautifully.
- Bruno: Thinks her legs are like magic tools. He needs a drink!
- Carrie Ann: Thinks that was by far the best Argentine Tango she has ever seen. She names them the queen and king of legal lifts!
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 10
- Len: 9
- Bruno: 10
- Total: 29
- Next on the dance floor is Lawrence Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska. Last week Lawrence got his groove on in the Jive and grabbed his best score of the season. This week he has to learn two dances and fly back to a golf event for his charity in Florida. This week they are dancing the Waltz. Edyta has a hard time teaching him to be graceful and elegant.
- Len Goodman: Thought he captured the grace and elegance of the dance. Over he was shocked at how well he did.
- Bruno: Thinks he got the romance right but then he started to turn and get clumsy.
- Carrie Ann: She thinks she saw more freedom in his movement. He looked like he was enjoying the dance.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 7
- Len: 7
- Bruno: 7
- Total: 21
- Next on the dance floor tonight is Lil Kim & Derek. Last week Lil Kim's jive rocked it out and she rolled to the top of the leader board. This week they are dancing the Rumba and Derek has to ton down Kim's sexiness.
- Standing Ovation
- Len Goodman: Tells her to be still his beating heart. Thinks she must go with what she knows, don't try and please him.
- Bruno: Thinks it was a good Rumba but taking the raunch out of Lil Kim is like having a margarita without tequila. He wants her to bring back the raunch!
- Carrie Ann: Thinks it was understated and underwhelming. She doesn't think Kim brought it all and wants her to forget about trying to please Len.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
- Len: 8
- Bruno: 9
- Total: 26
- Next up is Julianne Hough & Chuck Wicks. Last week Chuck danced a Rumba that left little to the imagination and got the crowd on their feet. This week Chuck had a concert this Alabama and decided to rally up the fans.
- Len Goodman: Loved it a lot! Thought it was by far his best dance to date!
- Bruno: Thinks chuck wants this trophy bad, and that he was really working his butt.
- Carrie Ann: Gives him a standing ovation and hugs him!
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
- Len: 9
- Bruno: 9
- Total: 27
- Next on the dance floor is Chelsie Hightower & Ty Murray. Last week Ty put the pedal to the medal on his jive, but the judges slammed on his brakes. This week Ty is upset because he was actually rising to the top and last week he felt like he went downhill. Tonight they are dancing the Waltz.
- Standing Ovation
- Carrie Ann Inaba: Thinks he has a beautiful frame, posture was great but every once in a while you got the "I'm scared look.
- Len: Thinks his holds were great and his holds had more rise and falls than a brides nightie!
- Bruno: Thinks his comeback is better than Mickey Rourke's.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 8
- Len: 8
- Bruno: 8
- Total: 24
- Up next is Shawn Johnson & Mark. Last week Shawn's mature rumba showed everyone that age is just a number. This week is very busy for her, she was in New York to accept the Sullivan Award. Then she flew off to Iowa to accept a Character Counts Award. All this traveling has caused her to miss the group dance rehearsal so she must learn that on her own. Tonight her and Mark are dancing the Cha Cha Cha.
- Standing Ovation
- Carrie Ann Inaba: She loved it, thinks her technique is flawless and Carrie got lost in the dance.
- Len: Thinks she did a very good job.
- Bruno: Always technically flawless thinks she is like watching a young Debbie Reynolds.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
- Len: 9
- Bruno: 10
- Total: 28
- Up next is Cheryl Burke & Gilles Marini . Last week Gilles jive was to much of a frenzy and he dropped from the first spot on the leader board to third place. Now he wants to work as hard as he can to get back up on the top. This week they ar dancing the Viennese Waltz and Cheryl wants to bring out the softness of the dance.
- Standing Ovation
- Carrie Ann Inaba: Thinks he is the most graceful male dancer she has seen. She warns him to watch his posture just a little but all in all was a great job.
- Len: Thinks it had romance and lovely rotation and overall a great job!
- Bruno: Think they are very glamorous together.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
- Len: 9
- Bruno: 9
- Total: 27
- Next up is the group dance. This week the couples are dancing to a 60's routine!
