Dancing with the Stars Week 4
- 3/30 Welcome back to Mahalo's spoiler page for Dancing with the Stars. Last week we said goodbye to Denise Richards after she competed against Holly Madison in the dance-off. Tonight we are introduced to two new dances, the Lindy Hop and the Argentine Tango then tomorrow night we will lose two celebrities in the first double elimination tomorrow night.
- First on dance floor tonight is David Alan Grier & Kym Johnson Last week David found his footing in the Foxtrot can he do it again this week? This week they are dancing the Lindy Hop. The challenge of this dance is to make it look fun. To help him learn Kym decides to take him to a Lindy Hop dance.
- Standing ovation!
- Len Goodman: Thinks this had fun and energy and thinks he captured the flavor but lost the rhythm a little
- Bruno: Thinks it is great seeing him come and go for it but, thinks he has to work on his footwork.
- Carrie Ann: She thinks it was great and she loved it!
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 8
- Len: 7
- Bruno: 7
- Total: 22
- Next on the dance Last week Lil Kim shook things up with the sizzling Samba and Len thought she had a bionic bootie! This week they are dancing the Argentine Tango which is a very serious dance but they can't stop laughing during rehearsal. Can they pull it together?
- Standing Ovation!
- Len Goodman: Len was completely knocked out by the choreography but wasn't impressed with the sensuality of the dance (BOOOOOOO) Bruno and Carrie Ann totally disagree and shout it out to the world.
- Bruno: That was more than a Tango! That was the tale of a fatal beauty. Enticing strangers with the promise of forbidden pleasure. A terrific Tango and terrific choreography!
- Carrie Ann: Thinks Lil Kim is the real deal, she has seen such a great transition from week 1 to now. Great job!
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
- Len: 8
- Bruno: 10 This is the very first 10 of the season!
- Total: 27
- Up next on the dance floor is Julianne Hough & Chuck Wicks. Last week Chuck finally made his mark in the competition and Carrie Ann said he might actually be a contender for winning. This week they are doing the Lindy Hop, which is all about having fun and tricks. Juliane wants him to flip over but he is very nervous and gives her a hard time. when he was a kid playing basketball he jumped in the air and landed on his head and now he has a fear of landing on his head. Julianne decides to remove the flip and add something else that shows his personality and not just a trick.
- Standing Ovation
- Len Goodman: Thinks he has to come up to a higher level, re-group come back stronger
- Bruno: Likes the style but he agrees with Len, it was a little lose around the edges, make it a little crisper
- Carrie Ann: Thinks he is having fun and thinks he is on the edge, and wants him to jump off that edge.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 8
- Len: 7
- Bruno: 7
- Total: 22
- Up next is Lawrence Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska. Last week Lawrence skipped his golf game to rehearse and it paid off, he brought the audience to their feet. Tango is all about character, very seductive dance. He just wants to make sure he will still be married when the dance is over. Edyta has a hard time getting into the character and learning the dance so she brings her husband Alex in to show Lawrence the way it is supposed to be done.
- Len Goodman: Thinks this is a difficult dance but thinks he did a good job. It was a little heavy and lacked passion.
- Bruno: Thought the performance was good but he was walking and the Tango requires you to stalk your prey!
- Carrie Ann: Thinks he executed his choreography well, chemistry was missing, he looked afraid of Edyta's sensuality.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 7
- Len: 5
- Bruno: 7
- Total: 19
- Up now is Chelsie Hightower & Ty Murray. Last week Ty rescued Chelsea after a slip up and Len called him a hero. At rehearsal Chelsea tries to apologize but Ty wont hear of it. The Lindy Hop really fast, lots of tricks and lots of lifts. This week he needs to learn how to practice by himself she wont be there for him to feel like on other dances.
- Standing Ovation
- Len Goodman: Len hollers out "Hot dog and darn my britches" and he can't believe he gave Ty a 4 his first week out.
- Bruno: Thinks Ty was jumping, kicking and skipping with the vitality of a young stallion! Still a little rough around the edges but thinks he is coming along leaps and bounds.
- Carrie Ann: Yells out "Ty Murray is a dancer!" Thinks Chelsea is a wonderful teacher because Ty started out getting 5's and thinks he should see what she is giving him tonight!
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
- Len: 8
- Bruno: 8
- Total: 25
- Next up is Karina Smirnoff & Steve Wozniak'. Last week Steve's worm infested Samba earned him the lowest score ever since Master P didn't wear dancing shoes six seasons ago. Steve wants to work even harder this week because he now realizes the fans votes can save him. This week they are dancing the Argentine Tango
- Len Goodman: Congratulates him for coming out and attempting to try a proper Tango.
- Bruno: Claims everyone loves him but thinks the performance stunk.
- Carrie Ann: She loves what Steve represents but tonight just felt long. Thinks there wasn't much going on out there tonight.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 4
- Len: 4
- Bruno: 4
- Total: 12
- Up now on the dance floor is Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani. Last week Melissa's foxtrot left Carrie Ann wanting more. Trying to show Melissa how to do the kicks Tony tapes a piece of toilet paper to her shoe. Carrie Ann told Melissa to challenge herself more so that is her goal for this week.
- Standing Ovation
- Len Goodman: Thinks Melissa has the potential to go all the way. Overall it was great.
- Bruno: Thinks that was eye popping fun, and that they delivered the dance excellent!
- Carrie Ann: High fives for everyone all around. Thinks that was Tony's best choreography ever!
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 10
- Len: 9
- Bruno: 10
- Total: 29 The highest score so far this season!
- Next up is Holly Madison & Dmitry Chaplin. Last week holly barely escaped the dance-off but she survived. This week is her chance to improve. Because of the double elimination they have to work extra hard. Last week Holly hurt her ribs during the Samba and ended up going to the doctor during rehearsal. This week they are dancing the Argentine Tango.
- Len Goodman: Len thinks the routine was fantastic but the mistake at the start was hard to recover from and they didn't. He wants her to work on her strength.
- Bruno: Thinks that started bad and kept getting worse. He tells her though that it's hard to come back after starting bad but there is a lot of wrk for her to do if she comes back.
- Carrie Ann: Gives her a lot of credit for hanging in when she is in pain.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 5
- Len: 6
- Bruno: 5
- Total: 16
- Next on the dance floor is Steve-O & Lacey Schwimmer. Last week Steve-O's Foxtrot fell to peices after as he cracked under the pressure. He thinks the linday ho is very choatic and he has a hard time keeping up. H eneeds to find some way to enjoy himself. Lacey brings in a clown costume.
- Standing Ovation
- Len Goodman: Thinks his timing is way off try and he needs to try and stay on time
- Bruno: Thinks this was more hopping mad than Lindy Hop. He tells him to listen to the music, listen to the music because he has a huge problem with music.
- Carrie Ann: Thinks Steve has had a rough road and she is proud because he got through his routine. His musicality is very low, he needs to work on becoming a leader on the dance floor.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 5
- Len: 5
- Bruno: 5
- Total: 15
- On the dance floor next is Cheryl Burke & Gilles Marini. Last week Gilles fiery Samba fired up the crowd. This week they are doing the Argentine Tango. He is struggling this week so Cheryl tells him to use his actor skills to his advantage.

- Len Goodman: Thinks that was a fantastic dance.
- Bruno: Thinks Gilles is the Latin lover and he didn't miss a beat!
- Carrie Ann: After fanning herself and pinching herself to make sure she was still there, she admits she could not tell which one was the professional dancer.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 10
- Len: 10
- Bruno: 10 First perfect score of the season
- Total: 30
- The final couple this evening is Shawn Johnson & Mark. Last week lady like foxtrot lead her to the top of the leader board. They are dong the Lindy Hop which requires tricks, flips and hops so Shawn decides to take him to the gym.
- Standing Ovation
- Len Goodman: Thinks what she did was great but he wanted more dancing from her.
- Bruno: Thinks Shawn has given us a fabulous feast of tricks and leaps. He wants her to remember to dance more.
- Carrie Ann: Thinks she is a very polished dancer but is a little heavy on the dance.
- Scores:
- Carrie Ann Inaba: 8
