Behind The Scenes

On Dancing with the Stars putting together the costumes is a very hectic task. After each elimination night each couple will get their music and dance assignments for the following week and rush in to see costume designer Randall Christensen. They only have 15-20 minutes with him to discuss color and style. Christensen then has six days to design the costumes. Each costume can only be worn once and cost between $3,000 and $5,000. Each costume is actually one piece of clothing, everything is sewn together including stockings. Rhinestones are used for decorations and hand sewn into the costumes.
