Dancing with the Stars is a reality show airing on ABC in the United States based on the British BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing. The show partners celebrities with professional dancers, with the best pair winning the grand prize of a mirror ball trophy. One pair is eliminated each week based on number of votes from viewers combined with the judges' score.
DWTS season nine begins on September 21, 2009, with a two-hour premiere! This season consists of the largest cast ever! This time around we start the show with 16 celebrities including a few musicians, a couple actors, a news reporter, a martial artist and an Olympic champion.
New changes are in store for fans this time around. With it being the largest cast ever the producers have decided to send two couples home twice during the fifth and seventh week of the competition! Make sure you check out the spoiler page for more information as the season continues.
