She is wearing a green skirted outfit and is dancing with an adult male dance partner. The entire dance routine lasts approximately 3 minutes
The doggie star of the video is a pooch named Carrie who has a history of performing dance moves in various videos on the Internet (though none quite as popular as "Dancing Merengue Dog".http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/08/31/dancing-merengue-dog/ Carrie, a golden retriever, calls the nation of Chile her home, where she is known as La Perrita Bailarina. Most of her acts are performed in videos and acts that are primarily Spanish language. She has consistently been seen dancing with the same dance partner, who is believed to be her owner and currently remains unnamed across the Web.
Dancing Dog's Other Performances
Carrie the dancing dog, or La Perrita Bailarina, achieved some fame before the "Dancing Merengue Dog" video, after she appeared on a Spanish language television program. On the show, La Ley de la Selva, Carrie performs a different dance with the same dance partner, her owner. Carrie was also wearing a ruffly dress for that performance, though it is different in design and color than what she wore for her famous merengue dance.

This video shows Carrie, the dancing golden retriever, performing a merengue dance with her unnamed owner. Here Carrie is seen in a green ruffled skirt outfit and performs the lengthy dance mostly upright on her hind legs, with tail wagging throughout the performance. The video became a Web sensation in late August, 2010.
Dancing Dog on "La Ley de la Selva"
This video is one of the dancing dog's earlier performances which was broadcast on the Spanish language television show, "La Ley de la Selva". In this video, the dancing dog named Carrie performs a different dance routine than seen in the famous YouTube video, "Dancing Merengue Dog".
