Dancing Beijing is the name of the Official Emblem of the 2008 Olympic Games. It was unveiled in August of 2003 to a crowd of over 2800 in Beijing's Temple of Heaven Park. Jacques Rogge of the International Olympic Committee heralded the emblem's design, saying that "Your new emblem immediately conveys the awesome beauty and power of China which are embodied in your heritage and your people."
