  • Dana Eveland is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics. Eveland was born in Olympia, Washington on October 29, 1983.
  • College

    In 2001 Eveland graduated from Palmdale High School in California, and went on to attend Hill Junior College in Hillsboro, Texas. After Eveland's freshman year, he transferred to the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California.
  • On the Road to the Majors

    Eveland was first drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2005. After spending several years in minor leagues, his first major league debut came with the Brewers on July 16, 2005. Season 2006 demoted Eveland to Triple A Nashville Sounds after being traded by the Brewers to the Arizona Diamondbacks. There he went to play for the Tucson Sidewinders but was on the disabled list most of the season. Come December of 2007, Eveland was traded to the Oakland Athletics for Dan Haren and Connor Robertson.

    Evelands best throws are the four seam fastballs, slider and curveball. He also has an excellent changeup.
