  • Professional football linebacker Dan Morgan most recently played for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Morgan was sidelined in 2007 after multiple concussions and an Achilles' tendon injury and was released by the Panthers. He signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2008, but retired before he could play for the team.

    Prior to playing professionally, Morgan had a record-setting college football career with the Miami Hurricanes. He finished his career with 532 tackles, both a school record and a Big East record.     After college, Morgan was selected 11th overall in the 2001 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. He joined the Panthers for his NFL debut that same year, playing in 11 games.
