Damon Stoudamire is a professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA.
Stoudamire was drafted by the Toronto Raptors in 1995, playing well in his rookie year. He holds the record for most three point field goals made by a rookie with 133. He also won the NBA Rookie of the Year award.
Stoudamire was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in 1998 where he played a backup role to Scottie Pippen and Bonzi Wells. Despite this, Stoudamire saw significant playing time during the Blazers' playoff runs.
Stoudemire's next stop was in Memphis with the Grizzlies. He played in Memphis until 2008 when a contractual buyout agreement was reached and Stoudamire was free to sign with another team. He signed with the Spurs on February 3rd.
