  • Damon Blust worked as "Lucky" the leprechaun, the Boston Celtics' acrobatic mascot for five years. On January 29, 2009, the team announced that he was no longer employed by the organization. The statement issued by the Celtics did not state why he left the team, but a source reportedly told a Boston Globe employee "that both sides agreed on a mutual resignation." Other sources reported that Blust conflicted personally with management and that he had proved himself "unreliable."Celtics Blog (Boston.com): Out of Luck (January 29, 2008) Inside Track (Boston Herald): Lucky no more, Celts boot mascot (January 29, 2008)
