About the Game
Damnation is a steampunk shooter starring Hamilton Rourke, a disgraced soldier out to combat a dictatorial figurehead out for world domination. The game is set in an alternate history of the United States where the Civil War hasn't ended and the country is still divided into the Union and Confederate States. The game has been dubbed a "vertical shooter" by its developers, Blue Omega Entertainment. The game takes place on the horizontal plane as well as vertical, and the open world is benefited by the huge draw distance that showcases far horizons and dizzying drops.Official Site: Damnation
Since a central element of Damnation is its vertical gameplay, players quickly learn to move higher in the map for a tactical advantage. Rourke can perform a variety of acrobatic moves, like the wall jump, ledge climb, and use ziplines. He can climb the side of a building and cling to the roof, shooting over the edge at opponents who thought themselves safe. Spirit ability is a skill taught to Rourke from a Native American seer. It allows him to spot the auras of enemies and other players, no matter where they're located, even through walls.IGN: Damnation - Multiplayer Walkthrough (Time: 3:02)
