Damian Whitewood is the newest addition to the cast of professional dancers performing on hit reality television show Dancing with the Stars. Whitewood joins a stellar list of ten other professional dancers who are teamed with a celebrity for the competition of the season to determine which dancing pair can make it to the finals and be selected as the top pair for the season.
In the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars Damian Whitewood joined the dancing cast. Whitewood was selected as the dance partner for Pamela Anderson. As the professional dancer, Whitewood is responsible for the design and choreography of the dance for each performance. Whitewood and Anderson didn't make the final four but Pam's performances scored well.. Anderson had not had previous dance training. The professional is responsible for teaching the dance moves to whatever celebrity partner is assigned to him in this season or future DWTS events he chooses to sign on for.
Life and Career
Damian Whitewood is the dancer from down under, having spent his childhood years in Perth Australia. Whitewood began dancing at age 10, and by the age of 15 was jet setting from one competition to the next. At the age of 16 he completed a hairdresser's degree in case his dancing career did not work out for him. Most recently Whitewood was a performer in the Broadway dance revue Burn The Floor where he performed with fellow DWTS cast member and dancer Derek Hough.
Whitewood is an achieved dancer who has won awards for being the Australian Youth and Australasian Champion in ballroom and Latin American style. He has previously performed on Dancing with the Stars Australia, as well as So You Think You Can Dance -Australia and Holland.
Damian Whitewood is currently involved with Peta Murgatroyd, a fellow dancer and co-star from Burn The Floor.
