Two minor earthquakes occurred near the areas of Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas in late October 2008. The first earthquake occurred at 11:25 pm on October 20, 2008, and was a 2.5 magnitude. In 1997 a 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck near Greenville, Texas.
