  • Early Years

    Prior to his NHL career, Drake attended and played for Northern Michigan University from 1988-1992. He was drafted 116th overall in the 1989 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings. He made his NHL debut with the Wings in 1992, playing two seasons in Detroit before being traded to the Winnipeg Jets on March 8, 1994. Drake played in Winnipeg for the next two seasons, moving with the team to Phoenix in 1996.
  • Recent Career

    On July 1, 2000, Drake signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues. He was also named team captain prior to the 2005 regular season. Drake was waived by the Blues, then signed with the Red Wings on July 9, 2007, returning to the town where he originally made his NHL debut.
