Best All-Time Combination
In the history of the Dallas Cowboys there have been some awesome combinations, "Dandy" Don Meredith to "Bullet" Bob Hayes, Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson, even Danny White to Tony Hill was dangerous but none compare to one of the most prolific tandems in team and in NFL history. That being, Troy Aikman to "The Playmaker" Michael Irvin. This duo made up one of the most feared in the league for many reasons, from Aikmans pinpoint accuracy to Irvins pure physicality they got the job done game after game. Aikman and Irvin shared a special bond on and off the field, their practice habits were tireless and intense and neither would let the other fail. Although Irvins career prematurely ended due to a spinal injury in 1999, the Aikman to Irvin combo produced 49 touchdowns and 3 Super Bowl Championships. Both entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Aikman in 2006 and Irvin in 2007.
