Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced the official name, Cowboys Stadium, on May 13, 2009. The $1.1 billion structure however is still looking for a sponsor.

Opening Events
The stadium will open on June 6, 2009, with a concert by country musicians George Strait, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough. The first football game will on August 21, 2009, as the Dallas Cowboys face the Tennessee Titans in a pre-season game.Jones Legacy
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said that the new stadium will be he and his family's legacy. Jones also stated that, eventually, the stadium would be just as recognizable as the White House.
