Lithuanian professional hockey player Dainius Zubrus plays for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League. On November 23, 2008, Zubrus tied a Devils team record by scoring four goals in a single game as New Jersey defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, seven to three.ESPN.com: Zubrus' Four Goals Tie Devils Record in Thrashing of Lightning
NHL Career
Zubrus was drafted 15th overall in the 1996 NHL draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. He made his NHL debut with the Flyers that same year and played with the team for nearly three seasons. On March 10, 1999, Zubrus was traded to the Montreal Canadiens. Just over two years later, he was traded again, this time going to the Washington Capitals on March 13, 2001. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Zubrus played in the Russian Super League for the Lada Togliatti. He returned to the Capitals after the lockout and continued with the team until February 27, 2007, when he was sent to the Buffalo Sabres. Zubrus played just 19 games with the Sabres before entering the free agency and signing with the New Jersey Devils on July 3, 2007.-
