Cyworld.com is South Korea's top social networking site. You create a miniroom, which is like a personal space, and a minime, which is an avatar. You also have a space to share your photos, journal, and more. There are also clubs to join within the site to enhance the social experience there. Cyworld is owned by SK Telecom, a major telecommunications provider in South Korea.

Cyworld was founded in 1999, and bought by SK Telecom in 2003 for $7.14 million. Cyworld launched its U.S.-based site in 2006. In 2008, Cyworld and Muvee announced a new partnership to bring personal video and photo features to Cyworld members.

Cyworld's immense popularity in Korea has spawned numerous blogs, and has national media attention very similar to Facebook's coverage in the United States. Cyworld has approximately 20 million users, the vast majority of which come from Korea.
