Cynthia Nixon Lesbian

Circa April 15, 2008, actress Cynthia Nixon discussed her same-sex relationship with activist Christine Marinoni on media outlets including Nightline and Good Morning America, while promoting the upcoming Sex and the City movie. Nixon also spoke of her brush with breast cancer.

Nixon and Marinoni have been a couple since 2003, but have rarely spoken to the press about their relationship. Nixon said in an interview with OK! Magazine that she's "in love with Christine because she's her," adding, "If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don't know." In 2004, she considered moving to Brooklyn with Marinoni, but decided to stay in Manhattan to keep her children in the public schools there.

On the Nightline appearance, Nixon described her children's relationship with Marinoni. "They love her. They call her Mom," she said. "They call me Mommy. My son is very funny. Sometimes he says Mom, and it's obvious he means both of us or either of us. He just says Mom and whoever answers is fine."
