  • Cute Is What We Aim For is a power pop band that was formed in 2005 by main vocalist Shaan Hacikyan. The band became popular after being featured on the websites Pure Volume and AbsolutePunk.net. In 2006, the band released their debut album The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch, which peaked at #75 on the Billboard 200 charts. They are currently working on a new album scheduled to be released June 24, 2008, tentatively titled Rotation.

    Cute Is What We Aim For was formed out of the ashes of the band Cherry Bing, who was suffering from internal strife. The band has had many lineup and managerial changes, but has built up a loyal fan base through their participation in the Young Wild Things Tour and Warped Tour. Their single "Practice Makes Perfect" was featured on the MTV reality television show The Hills on April 21, 2008.
