Cut The Rope is a physics based puzzle game for the i-Phone, i-Pod Touch, and i-Pad. http://www.macworld.com/appguide/app.html?id=707123&lsrc=rss_main Cut The Rope was published by Chillingo and has quickly made its way in the top paid apps. Within ten days the game was been downloaded more than 1 million times. Players feed Om Nom (a little green monster) candy by completing puzzles. These puzzles can include ropes, bubbles, levers, spikes, bungee cords, vanishing stars, and electric shocks. There are multiple possibilities of beating each level depending on how many stars you decide to get and how fast you want to feed the monster.

Timing is very crucial to beating each of the levels. Do not worry about beating the level the first time. There is a convenient restart button in the upper right hand corner of the screen in case you need to restart that level quickly. The final score of each level is calculated by the number of stars gathered, and the amount of time it took to feed the monster. It is not required that each star is gathered, just feeding the little green monster his candy will pass you to the next level. However, if you plan on moving to the next box stars will be needed. The number of stars needed to pass to each box can be seen on the menu screen.

Ding Dong. The door bell rings and the front door opens. The camera moves its angle and now is focused on a large cardboard box. A sign reads "Feed with Candy" on the box. Through a circle shaped hole you see two blinking eyes. Meet Om Nom, your new pet monster, whom you feed with candy.

The object of the game is to feed your monster candy by completing puzzles. Feed the monster by swiping your finger across the rope that is attached to the candy, this is how you cut the rope. Along the way you can pick up stars and they will unlock new boxes (rounds). Currently there are 4 boxes: cardboard, fabric, foil, and a gift box. Each box has 25 levels and each level has a chance to get 3 stars. Gather as many stars in each level in order to open a new box. The locks on the boxes have a number on them. Those are the amount of stars that are needed to open that particular box. It is not required that all 300 stars are found in order to win the game. As long as the amount of stars are collected to open a new box and the levels are completed in the gift box the game can be won.

Click Play on the Menu and a short cut scene will appear. Once the video is complete click on the cardboard box.

2. As the candy comes around tap the air cushion on the bottom so the candy goes up and gets the timed star.
3. The rope should swing around and into the monster's mouth.

1. Move the rope hook to the right getting the first star, and putting the candy in a bubble.
2. The candy will float up and get the second star.
3. Drag the rope hook back to the left and the candy will float into the star and then into the monster's mouth.

1. Move the rope hook to where it is about an inch from the top of the slide.
2. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into three stars and into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the right rope and the candy will attach to another rope.

4. Move the rope hook all the way to the right and cut the rope.

3. Drag the rope hook so that the candy gathers the last two stars and misses the spikes.
4. Cut the rope when the rope hook is all the way back to the left again and the candy will float into the monster's mouth.

2. Drag the middle rope hook back and forth until you gather the second star.
3. Drag the bottom right rope hook all the way to the right.
4. Drag the rope hook back and forth until you get the last star. (Aviod the spikes)
5. Cut the rope so the candy will be tossed into the monster's mouth.

3-6 (timed stars)

1. Drag the top rope hook all the way to the right being careful to avoid the spikes.
2. Cut the rope.
3. Drag the middle rope hook all the way to the left being careful to avoid the spikes.
4. Cut the rope.
5. Drag the bottom rope hook all the way to the right being careful to avoid the spikes.
6. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

3-7

1. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into a bubble.
2. The bubble will rise and attach to a rope.
3. When the candy is in line with the next star cut the rope.
4. When the candy attaches to the next rope, cut it when the candy is in line with the second star.
5. The candy will attach to a rope with a spider on it.
6. Move the rope hook to be lined up with the candy.
7. Cut the rope and pop the bubble once a rope from the rope hook attaches to the candy.
8. Move the rope hook to where it is in line with the last star and cut the rope.
9. The candy will fall through the last star and into the monster's mouth.

3-8 (timed star)

1. Drag the rope hook back and forth fast to get the first two stars.
2. Bring the rope hook back to the middle of the slide and wait for the candy to settle.
3. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into the last star.
4. Cut the last rope and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

3-9 (timed star)

1. Move all three rope hooks out of the way of the bubble.
2. Once the bubble reaches the top of the screen and gathers the first star move the top rope hook under the candy and pop the bubble.
3. Move the top rope hook to the right and gather the second star.
4. Cut the top rope.
5. Move the two rope hooks all the way to the left.
6. Cut the top rope.
7. The candy will swing into the last star.
8. Drag the rope hook all the way to the right and the monster will eat the candy.

3-10

1. Move the top rope hook into the middle of the slide.
2. Pull the bottom rope hook halfway down the slide and cut the bottom rope.
3. Drag the top rope hook all the way to the right and gather all three stars.
4. Drag the rope hook all the way to the left to feed the monster.

3-11 (Spiders!!) Move the rope hooks down as quickly as possible starting with the right hook and then the left getting all three stars before the spiders get to the candy.

1. Drag the left rope hook all the way to the bottom left.
2. Cut the left rope and align the candy with the monster and cut the rope so the candy will be thrown into the monster's mouth.

1. Drag the middle rope hook on the left side of the screen to the bottom of the slide.
2. Drag the bottom left rope hook up and down until the candy attaches to another rope.
3. Cut the bottom rope after dragging the bottom left rope hook down and the middle left rope hook up.
4. Drag the top left hook down the slide.
5. Drag the middle left rope hook up and down until the candy attaches to another rope.
6. Drag the top rope hook all the way up.
7. Tap the air cushion to get the second star.
8. Cut the bottom rope.
9. Tap the air cushion to attach the candy to another rope.

1. Drag the rope hook down the slide and the candy will fall into a bubble.
2. Tap the air cushion once and drag the rope hook up to get all three stars.
3. Once the bubble brings the candy to the top of the monster will eat the candy.

2. Cut the left rope, swing the candy into the star.
3. Once the electric spark is off cut the rope, swinging the candy into the monster's mouth.

2. Tap the top air cushion to keep the candy stable until the electric sparks are off.
3. Tap the left air cushion to get the candy past the electric spark area.
4. Pop the bubble and the candy will attach to a rope.

1. As soon as the electric spark is off swipe your finger from the left to the right on the bottom two ropes.
2. The candy will swing through the electric spark area and gather two stars.
3. When the candy is stable cut the rope. The candy will fall through the last star and into the monster's mouth.

1. Tap the top air cushion until the candy attaches to another rope. Cut the rope on the left.
2. Tap the second air cushion on the left to attach the candy to another rope. Cut the left rope.

5. Tap the first air cushion on the right until the candy attaches to another rope. Cut the rope on the right.

7. Tap the third air cushion on the right to attach the candy to another rope. Cut the rope on the right and the candy will swing into the monster's mouth.

1. Tap the top air cushion so the candy will sway into the first star.
2. Pop the bubble and cut the rope when the electric sparks are off.
3. The candy will fall into a bubble and gather the last two stars.
4. Tap the bottom air cushion quickly so the bubble will not be popped by the electric spark.
5. Let the bubble float past the first electric spark from the bottom of the screen and tap the air cushion slowly until the top electric spark is off.
6. Let the bubble float, carrying the candy into the monster's mouth.

1. Tap the top air cushion to gather the first star.
2. Wait until the electric sparks are off then cut the rope so that it will fall and attach to the first (spider) rope.
3. After falling into the second and third stars cut the rope so it will be tossed into the monster's mouth. Tap the bottom air cushion if you have to, to get the rope to swing towards the monster.

1. Cut the top two ropes at the same time when the electric sparks are off.
2. Wait until the electric sparks are off again and cut the top two ropes at the same time.
3. Cut the last two ropes at the same time and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into a bublle.
2. Let the bubble rise to the first air cushion and tap it to get to the third air cushion on the top.
3. Pop the bubble once it is in line with the first star.
4. After getting the star let the bubble rise to the air cushion and tap the cushion.
5. Pop the bubble when it gets from the second to last row of bubbles.
6. Let the candy fall to the second bubble star.
7. The bubble will rise to the air cushion on the right. Tap it once to get to the last star on the last row of bubbles.
8. Pop the bubble and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

2. Bring both of the rope hooks all the way to the right on the slide to get the first star.
3. Cut the top rope.
4. Bring the bottom rope hook below the candy.
5. Cut the top rope.
6. When the electric sparks are off slide the candy into the bubble.
7. The candy will rise. Wait until the electric sparks are off again and cut the rope/
8. The candy will rise into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the rope and the candy will rise and attach to three ropes.
2. Cut the rope on the right and the candy will float into the first star.
3. Wait for the candy to settle.
4. Cut the rope on the bottom and pop the bubble at the same time when the electric sparks are off.
5. The candy will gather the second star and swing into a bubble.
6. The bubble will rise into the last star and into the monster's mouth.

3-24 (Be quick on this one)

1. When the spikes are close to being horizontal cut the top left rope, then the middle rope and then the right rope.
2. The last rope to be cut needs to be cut when it is in line with the bubble.
3. Let the bubble rise and get the last star.
4. Pop the bubble and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into a bubble.
2. Wait until the electric sparks start moving down and tap the air cushions to get the candy through the first two stars.
3. There is a bubble at the end of the air cushions. Let the candy fall into the bubble and rise to the air cushion that is on the top right of the screen.
4. Tap the air cushion once and the bubble will be pushed to the last star.
5. Pop the bubble and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

4-1 (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Rotate the wheel to the left down to the top air cushion.
2. Tap the air cushion once to get the first star. Once you get the first star loosen the rope by rotating the wheel to the right. Gather the second star.
3. Rotate the wheel to the left to bring the candy all the way to the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap the bottom air cushion to get the last star. Loosen the rope by rotating the wheel to the right.
5. Tap the air cushion on the left to blow the candy into the monster's mouth.

4-2 (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Cut the rope on the right.
2. Loosen the wheel as much as you can and cut the bottom rope when it its lined up with the star on the left.
3. Cut the rope on the bottom and the candy will fall through the first star and either swing or bounce into the other two stars.
4. Tighten the rope and the candy will be raised into the monster's mouth.

4-3 (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Cut the rope. The candy will fall and attach to two ropes.
2. Cut the top rope and the candy will fall and attach to another rope. Immediately cut the bottom left rope.
3. The candy will swing into a rope wheel. Cut the top left rope and the candy will fall into a bubble.
4. Guide the bubble with the rope wheel.
5. Give the rope some slack and let it float up past the monster to the air cushion.
6. Tap the air cushion and the bubble will be pushed into the last star.
7. Tighten the rope and the candy will be pulled into the monster's mouth.

4-4 (Timed star) (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Loosen the top two rope wheels a bit and tighten the bottom rope wheel.
2. Cut the bottom rope and the candy will be thrown into the timed star.
3. Loosen the left rope wheel and the candy will swing into the second star. TIghten the rope to match the other rope wheel.
4. Loosen the right rope wheel and the candy will swing into the last star.
5. Cut the left rope and the candy will swing into the monster's mouth.

1. Quickly drag the rope hook all the way to the right. The candy will then attach to another rope.
2. Cut the bottom rope.
3. Quickly drag the rope hook all the way to the right. The candy will then attach to another rope.
4. Cut the bottom rope.
5. Quickly drag the rope hook all the way to the right.
6. The candy will rise into the monster's mouth.

1. Tap the bottom right air cushion and cut the rope when the bubble is lined up with the middle spikes. The bubble will float into the middle section and get the first star.
2. Tap the middle air cushion and then the bottom right air cushion to get the bubble into the last section on the left to gather the second and third stars.
3. The bubble will then float into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the top left and bottom right ropes.
2. Cut the bottom left rope. The candy will then go through the first star and attach to another rope with a spider on it.
3. Cut the rope on the left. The candy will then attach to another rope with a spider on it.
4. Cut the rope on the left.
5. Cut the rope. The candy will fall and attach to two ropes with spiders on them.
6. Cut the rope on the right. The candy will swing into a bubble and attach to another rope.
7. Pop the bubble and cut the rope on the right.
8. The candy will swing and attach to another rope.
9. Cut the rope on the right and the candy will swing to a bubble.
10. When the candy is in line with the last star cut the rope.
11. The candy will float into the monster's mouth.

4-8 (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Tighten the rope wheel on the right to get the star on the top.
2. Loosen the rope wheel on the left to gather the second star.
3. Tighten the rope wheel on the right a bit and then loosen the rope wheel on the left to get to the last star.
4. Loosen the rope wheel on the right to lower the candy into the monster's mouth.

1. Drag both of the rope hooks away from each other to make the candy jump in the air and gather both stars. (This may take a couple tries)
2. Bring the left rope hook to the middle of the slide and the right rope hook all the way to the left of the slide.
3. Cut the rope on the right and then the rope on the left to allow the candy to fall in the monster's mouth.

4-10

1. Cut the rope and tap the top air cushion until the candy is in line with the air cushion on the left.
2. Tap the air cushion on the left until it gets to the second air cushion on the top of the screen.
3. Tap the top air cushion to get to the air cushion on the left. Tap the left air cushion.
4. Allow the bubble to float to the star while dragging over the rope hook so it is aligned with the bubble.
5. Pop the bubble and the candy will attach to the rope hook.
6. Slide the rope hook all the way to the left of the screen to get the last star.
7. Slide the rope hook all the way to the right to put the candy in the monster's mouth.

1. Wait for the first electric spark.
2. Immediately after it turns off move both rope hooks down the slides to the right.
3. Don't go too fast or the ropes will swing back into the electric spark.
4. Cut the top rope so the candy falls to the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the rope when the spikes are in line vertically.
2. Press the bottom left air cushion once.
3. Press the right air cushion once when the bubble is next to it.
4. Press the top left air cushion twice when the bubble is next to it.
5. The bubble will float into the monster's mouth.

4-13 (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Blow the bubble to swing the candy back and forth.
2. When it begins its swing to the left, turn the rope wheel left so the candy clears the spikes.
3. Get the candy into the bubble by turning the rope wheel appropriately.
4. Give the bubble slack to attach to the next rope hook.
5. Turn the rope wheel until the bubble is roughly even with the star.
6. Slide the rope hook left and quickly back right so the bubble swings to get the star.
7. Slide the rope hook left and cut the bottom rope so the bubble floats through the gap above.
8. Slide the rope hook to the far left and cut the rope.
9. When the bubble gets the last star, pop it.
10. The candy will swing to another bubble and float to the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the right rope.
2. As the candy swing back to the right, cut the left rope.
3. Use the top air cushions to keep the candy up (press the middle one 3 times).
4. After the candy attaches to the next rope, cut it as it comes back to the left.
5. Use the bottom air cushions to keep the candy up and into the monster's mouth (again, middle one 3 times).

1. Use an air cushion to blow the candy and attach it to one of the rope hooks above.
2. Use the cushion on the side it is attached to get the middle star.
3. When the ropes settle, cut the middle rope
4. Then the rope to the hook it attached to when the lightning bolts below just stop.
5. As the candy floats back up, press the air cushion nearest the candy twice so it goes to the other side and attaches.
6. Pop the bubble and let the rope settle.
7. Cut the rope immediately after the lightning ends.
8. As the candy floats up, press the air cushion nearest it once.
9. Soon after press the cushion on the opposite side.
10. Let the bubble float until the lightning stops (or the bubble reaches the top of the screen) then pop it.
11. The candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the right rope.
2. Pop each bubble as soon as the candy reaches it.
3. The candy will continue it's swing to the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the left rope.
2. Cut the right rope as the candy swings back right after the lightning stops.
3. Pop the bubble and let the rope that attaches settle.
4. After the electric sparks stop, cut he rope and let the candy fall into a bubble.
5. Press the air cushion facing left twice to get the candy lined with the other rope hook.
6. Pop the bubble so it attaches and let it settle.
7. Cut the rope after the electric sparks stop and pop the bubble as you go through it.
8. The candy will fall into the monster's mouth.

1. Slide the rope hook all the way down.
2. Cut the bottom rope and then the top one.
3. The candy will swing through the stars and into a bubble.
4. Pop the bubble and use the cushion to slow the candy (one press should do).
5. Cut the rope so the candy falls into the monster's mouth.

1. Cut the rope as the bottom electric sparks start.
2. The candy will float and attach to a slider.
3. Let the candy continue floating up to get the second star.
4. Slide the hook all the way left. and pop the bubble.
5. Slowly slide the hook into the square the lightning is making (being careful not to allow too much swing or hit the lightning).
6. Again, move the slider so the candy is on the right of the box the lightning is making with little to no swing.
7. Cut the rope so the candy falls into the monster's mouth.

1. Immediately slide the bottom rope hook right and the top one left.
2. After the candy attaches to the top hook and gets the first star, slide it to the right to get the second one.
3. Position both sliders to be in line with the star on the bottom.
4. Pop the bubble and cut the rope.
5. After you get the last star, slide the candy into the monster's mouth.

4-21

1. Pop the bubble shortly after the spikes begin to move down.
2. Use the air cushion to begin swinging the candy.
3. Cut the rope as the candy swings (after getting the first star) so it falls and attaches to the next hook.
4. After the spikes pass the cloud (going down) cut the rope so the candy falls into the bubble below..
5. Press the cushion once as the candy is passing so it floats up into the monster's mouth.

4-22 (Timed stars)

1. Press the middle cushion so the candy goes up to get the middle star.
2. When to candy falls back down, press the right cushion once and the bottom left cushion after the candy is as far left as it'll go after one press or until the candy is in the bubble (about 2 presses).
3. Pop the bubble after getting the star.
4. as the candy swings right, begin pushing the bottom right cushion when it is as for right as the swing takes it.
5. After the candy is in the bubble, stop using the cushion and pop the bubble after getting the star.
6. Cut the rope so the candy falls into the monster's mouth.

4-23

1. Cut both ropes as the electric sparks stop.
2. Press the bottom cushion twice as the candy falls into the bubble.
3. When the candy is above the lightning rods, press the top left cushion 2 or 3 times so it attaches to the next hook and pop the bubble.
4. Repeat the previous steps for the next star.
5. Cut the rope as the electric sparks stop.
6. Press the bottom cushion as the candy falls into the bubble.
7. Press the last cushion facing right once so the candy floats to the monster's mouth.

1. Slide the horizontal slider on the right all the way to the top.
2. Slide the rope hook in the middle of the screen all the way to the left.
3. Slide the bottom rope hook all the way to the top. A rope will attach.
4. Slide the bottom left rope hook all the way to the bottom.
5. Slide the middle rope hook to the right to gather the second star.
6. Cut the bottom rope and the candy will slingshot to the last star and attach to the rope hook on the right side of the screen.
7. Slide the middle rope hook all the way to the left.
8. Slide the rope hook on the right side of the screen all the way to the bottom of the slide.
9. Cut the bottom rope to slingshot the candy into the monster's mouth.

4-25 (Timed star) (Wheel left-tighten rope Wheel right-loosen rope)

1. Cut both ropes at the same time so the candy will fall into a bubble.
2. Cut the rope on the right. When the bubble is lined up with the bubble on the left cut the right rope.
3. The bubble will attach to a rope.
4. Tap the air cushion on the left side three times and another rope will attach.
5. Pop the bubble.
6. The rope will swing around picking up another star and a new bubble and the bubble will float up.
7. Cut both ropes at the same time so the bubble goes between the spikes and attaches to the rope wheel.
8. Loosen the rope wheel so the candy attaches to the horizontal rope hook.
9. Slide the rope hook over to the left to get the second star.
10. Line the horizontal rope hook over the last star and tighten the rope wheel to gather the last star.
11. Drag the horizontal rope hook all the way to the right and cut the bottom rope.
12. Pop the bubble and move the rope hook over the monster.
13. Cut the rope and the candy will fall into the monster's mouth.
