  • Hockey Career

    Sanford had an extensive junior hockey career, playing seven years in the Ontario Hockey League before he was picked up as a free agent by the St. Louis Blues during the 2000 off season. Sanford played in a handful of Blues' games during the 2002-2003 season, then joined the team full time for the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 season. Injuries prevented him from playing more than an average of 33 games during the two seasons.

    During the 2007 off season, Sanford signed a one year contract for $600,000 with the Vancouver Canucks for the 2007-2008 season, during which he played in 13 games. In 81 career NHL games through the 2007-2008 season, Sanford had posted a 30-28-11 record and has a 2.79 goals against average.
