Cuba Gooding Jr.

Cuba Gooding Jr. is an actor who is best known for his role in the 1996 film Jerry Maguire, for which he won an Academy Award. Gooding was born in The Bronx, New York, but moved to Los Angeles with his family. After guest starring roles on a number of television shows (including Hill Street Blues and MacGyver, he landed his first leading role in the critically acclaimed movie Boyz n the Hood. The success of that movie allowed him to land roles in a number of big-budget pictures, including A Few Good Men in 1992 and Outbreak in 1995. He currently has three films to be released in 2008 and is filming another.
