Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles are an electronic music duo of singer Alice Glass and producer Ethan Fawn.

On April 21, 2009, Billboard announced Crystal Castles would perform at the 2009 Lollapalooza Festival at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois in August 2009.

Background

Crystal Castles formed in 2003 as a solo project of Ethan Fawn. The name is a reference to the Crystal Castle in the She-Ra cartoon. Glass and Kath met while still attending high school. They shared a mutual love for noise rock bands and started collaborating together. Their first single, "Alice Practice", was released in 2004.

Glass and Kath gained much notoriety by remixing other artists tracks. Their self-titled debut was released on Last Gang Records in 2008. They use an Atari 5200 sound chip in their keyboard to help give them a unique sound.
