Critical Reception
Crysis Warhead received a lot of praise from critics for its state-of-the-art graphics. Jason Ocampo of IGN remarked that it was a noticeable improvement over the original in terms of optimization and visuals. The game has also received some criticism for its linearity. Writers from both GameSpy and GameSpot have voiced their disappointment with the lack of more open-ended gameplay.
