About Crocs Shoes
Between 2006 and 2007, Crocs shoes became a major international fad, on or above par with the early-1980s fad of plastic "Jelly" shoes. Like their predecessors, Crocs come in bright colors and are plastic-based. Unlike Jellies, however, which were made of relatively rigid PVC, Crocs use an extremely soft, patented foam called "croslite," which is promoted as having beneficial orthopedic effects. In late 2006, there were reports of children-sized Crocs becoming caught in escalators.ABC News: Crocs Can Pose a Danger on Escalators
In 2008, the company introduced its first ever line of high heeled crocs shoe, called, "Cyprus."FashionClub.com Daily: First High-Heeled Crocs -- And They're Cute! Official Site: Cyprus High Heeled Crocs
