  • Crockpot Chili is one of the most popular ways of preparing chili.

    Chili is a thick stew, consisting of meat, peppers and spices. Removing the meat from the chili makes for a great alternative for the vegetarian diet.

  • Crockpot Chili Recipe

    • 2 - 16 once cans kidney beans (drained)
    • 2 - 14 once cans tomatoes (diced) (fresh can be used)
    • 2 pounds ground beef (cooked until brown)
    • 1 large onion (diced)
    • 1 bell pepper (diced)
    • 1 Red pepper (diced)
    • 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
    • tablespoons chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 teaspoon cumin
    • 1/4 cup jalapenos (diced)
    • 2 teaspoons Tabasco or to taste
    • 1 and 1/2 cups of raw pinto beans

  • Directions

    1. Cover raw pinto beans in water and soak overnight.
    2. The next morning, add pinto beans to a pot and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 90 minutes.
    3. Add all ingredients into a Crockpot and set on high for the first hour.
    4. Reduce heat to low and continue to cook for 5 to 6 hours.
    5. Serve with sourdough bread
