Cristina Warthen is a Stanford Law School graduate who was sentenced on Monday, September 28, 2009 for a federal tax evasion charge from October of 2008. The charges were for money she earned while running an escort prostitution service while studying for her degree.http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi? Warthen was sentenced to a year of home detention, including having to wear an electronic monitoring device, as well as three years probation. She will also have to pay the government $243,000, which is $70,000 less than was initially agreed upon.
