Political Criticism
Despite the popularity which won her the presidency, Kirchner has been criticized for many of her domestic management. Since she took office, Argentina has seen energy shortages, rising crime rates, and increases in taxes that target farmers. 100 days into her presidency, farmers went on a strike which lasted almost a month, until a truce was called on March 31, 2008 under the condition of negotiations.
