Cristian Guzman is a shortstop for the Washington Nationals. A native of the Dominican Republic, Guzman originally signed with the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent in 1994. Guzman never played for the Yankees in the majors. He was traded away to the Minnesota Twins, where he played six season, and made the All-Star team in 2001. Guzman joined the Nationals as a free agent in 2004.
