Command Materia are custom-built abilities and special attacks created within Final Fantasy VII through Materia Fusion. Using Commands takes away from the Action Points gauge (a new stat) when used. [[These Materia are bronze and gold in color. Other types of Materia include Magic, Independent, and Support.

Types of Command Materia
- Spin Attack (Plus)
- Jump (Plus)
- Status Attacks (Separated by Jump, Spin Attack, and regular attack forms)
- Elemental Swords
- Critical Slash (works like Deathblow except all the time)
- Exploding Sword (attacks with explosion)
- Blow Away (works like Remove or Whirlwind)
- Punch/Darkness (Attacks that ignore defense)
- Steal
- Mug
