On March 30, 2004 British Metropolitan and local police launched Operation Crevice, a raid to uncover suspected Pakistani terrorists operating in England. The suspects were accused of acting on orders from Al Qaeda to create and detonate fertilizer bombs in several busy London centers.
Trial
After being delayed six months, the Crevice Conspiracy trial began in March of 2006. The trial lasted over a year and became the most expensive in British history, costing over 50 million British pounds.
