Crazy Penguin Catapult 2 is an action puzzle video game for the iPad and iPhone that was released on June 1, 2009. Catapult Launch

At the beginning of every level players will need to launch the penguins through a narrow exit tunnel in the upper right side of the screen. If the penguins hit a wall or miss the access point during the catapult stage, then they will be unavailable when it comes time to defeat the polar bears in the battle zone.

The penguins are deposited onto the catapult in two different manners: swinging down from a rope or dropping straight down without tether. When attached to the rope, the penguins will swing back and forth until struck by the catapult and when they fall without the rope, players will only have one chance to launch them before they hit the ground.

The Map

The penguin on the main map can be moved from level to level by players sliding their fingers down the screen or tilting the iPad in the direction of the next mission point. The number of stars rewarded determines if the next level ahead is unlocked. After accomplishing a number of missions a bonus level will be unlocked where penguins only bounce once and no special upgrades are available.

Power-ups

• Twins and Triplets: This upgrade gives players two or three more penguins to launch at the beginning of the level for the rest of the game.

• Ninja: This upgrade allows players to freeze the penguin in mid-air and then alter their directional path via a spinning arrow.

• Drill: This upgrade allows players to more easily carve through the ice block obstacles. Penguins can only acquire this ability if they are launched through the drill icon during the catapult phase.

• Houdini: This upgrade allows players to make the penguin disappear and then reappear at another point in the area. Penguins can only acquire this upgrade if they are launched through the magic icon during the catapult phase.

• Rubber Penguin: This upgrade supplies the penguins with an extra number of bounces before it retires.

• Ice Breaker: This upgrade allow the penguins to break through the ice with fewer hits.

Hints and Tips

1. If you are unsure where you want to aim your penguin during its flight, allow it to fly off screen without touching it to give yourself another chance.
2. The first upgrades that should be acquired are the twins and triplets, because the difficulty and number of polar bears increases too quickly to survive with six penguins.
3. It is more prudent to restart the very difficult missions as soon as you lose a penguin during the catapult phase rather than on the battlefield.
4. During the catapult phase, penguins will begin to fall at alternating rates as the game progresses so watch their descent rather than relying on constant timing.

Everything is controlled by tapping the screen at the right moment, which includes: launching the catapult, choosing a level, directing the penguins descent and activating particular power-ups.

Level 1

1. Drop the first penguin on the left side of the rightmost bear so that it bounces left and eliminates three more bears slightly below.
2. Drop the second penguin on the uppermost bear so that it bounces to the right and take out the rightmost bear below.
3. Drop the third penguin on the first available incline going left to take out the remaining bear.

Level 2

1. Drop the first penguin on the upper leftmost bear so that it bounces onto the ice blocks and takes out the rightmost bear.
2. Drop the second penguin on the ice blocks to further break them up.
3. Drop the third penguin on the ice blocks to further break them up.
4. Drop the fourth penguin through the space in the ice blocks to take out the remaining three polar bears and complete the level.

Level 3

1. Drop the first penguin on the first polar bear on a raised platform below so that it takes out the leftmost bear.
2. Drop the second penguin to the right of the polar bear on the upper middle platform and use the ninja ability fly left and strike that polar bear. The penguin needs to bounce right and take out one of the lower bears and the upper right bear.
3. Drop the third penguin to the right of the leftmost polar bear and use the ninja ability to fly right and strike the bear in the cave.
4. Drop the fourth penguin on the leftmost polar bear.
5. Drop the fifth penguin on the left side of the rightmost polar bear to take out both remaining enemies and complete the level.

Level 4

1. Drop the first penguin on the upper rightmost polar bear so that it bounces across the leftmost ice blocks and takes out the lower leftmost bear.
2. Drop the second penguin on the uppermost polar bear.
3. Drop the third penguin on the rightmost ice blocks to break them up.
4. Drop the fourth penguin to the left of the leftmost polar bear and use the ninja ability to fly right and take it out.
5. Drop the fifth penguin down the rightmost shaft to eliminate the remaining polar bears and complete the level.

Level 5

1. Drop the first penguin so that it takes out the upper leftmost polar bear.
2. Drop the second penguin on the upper rightmost polar bear, then use the ninja abilty to fly into the middle ice cave and take out the bear.
3. Drop the third penguin on the first rock incline available that allow you to slide left and take out two bears.
4. Drop the fourth penguin between the rightmost space in the ice blocks to take out the remaining polar bear and complete the level.

Level 6

1. Drop the first penguin on the first polar bear you fly over.
2. Drop the second penguin on the upper rightmost polar bear so that it bounces left and takes out one of the lower leftmost bears.
3. Drop the third penguin to the left of the polar bear surrounded by ice, then use the ninja ability to bounce off that ice so that you take out one of the lower leftmost bears and the lower rightmost bear.
4. Drop the fourth penguin to the left of the polar bear surrounded by ice and use the ninja ability to bounce off that ice and take out one of the leftmost bears.
5. Drop the fifth penguin to the left of the polar bear surrounded by ice and use the ninja ability to fly between the space in the blocks to take out that bear.
6. Drop the sixth penguin on the right of the remaining polar and use the ninja ability to take it out and complete the level.

Level 7

1. Drop the first penguin on the upper rightmost polar bear so that it bounces into the bear directly to the left.
2. Drop the second penguin on the first polar bear you fly over so that you bounce right, then use the ninja ability to land on the lower inclines. Your penguin needs to slide all the way to the bottom, then move left and take out one polar bear.
3. Drop the third penguin on the first available incline going right to send it to the bottom of the level, then use the ninja ability to make it fly left and take out the polar bear.
4. Drop the fourth penguin to the right of the polar bears surrounded by ice and use the ninja ability to strike the blocks to break them up.
5. Drop the fifth penguin to the right of the polar bears surrounded by ice and use the ninja ability to strike the blocks to break them up.
6. Drop the sixth penguin to the right of the polar bears surrounded by ice and use the ninja ability to strike the blocks to break them up.
7. Drop the seventh penguin above the rightmost polar bear and use the ninja ability to fly left and strike the left most polar bear.
8. Drop the eighth penguin above the remaining polar bear, then use the ninja ability to fly left to strike the bear and complete the level.

Level 8

1. Drop the first penguin down the rightmost cave opening to take out the lower right rightmost polar bear.
2. Drop the second penguin on the lower leftmost ice blocks to break them up.
3. Drop the third penguin on the leftmost polar bear so that it bounces right and takes out one of the lower leftmost bear.
4. Drop the fourth penguin on the uppermost polar bear.
5. Drop the fifth penguin on the longest of the inclines you first fly over to slide into the lower leftmost polar bear.
6. Drop the sixth penguin on the upper rightmost polar so that it bounces left, then use the ninja ability to fly into the ice blocks above the leftmost polar bear and break them up.
7. Drop the seventh penguin on the leftmost polar bear.
8. Drop the eighth penguin to the right of the remaining polar bear and use the ninja ability to fly into it and complete the level.

Level 9

1. Drop the first penguin on the polar bear below and to the left of the upper bear to take them both out, then use the ninja ability to fly left, bounce off the ice blocks and take out the next bear below.
2. Drop the second penguin just above the two lower leftmost polar bears, then use the ninja ability to fly left and take out both of them.
3. Drop the third penguin to the right of the uppermost penguin, then use the ninja ability to fly left and take out that bear. The penguin needs to bounce off the ice blocks to the right and take out the uppermost bear.
4. Drop the fourth penguin above the rightmost gap between the rock and the ice blocks, then use the ninja ability to fly down and right. The penguin needs to take out the two lower rightmost polar bears.
5. Drop the fifth penguin to the right of the remaining the polar bear, then use the ninja ability to fly left and take out the bear to complete the level.

Level 10

1. Drop the first penguin on the first polar bear you fly over so that it bounces across the ice blocks to its left to break them up.
2. Drop the second penguin through the broken up ice blocks to take out the middle of the leftmost polar bears. The penguin needs to bounce off the ice blocks on the sides of the middle polar bear to break them up.
3. Drop the third penguin on the ice blocks above the leftmost polar bears, then use the ninja ability to make it fly straight down. The penguin needs to bounce vertically multiple times on the ice blocks to break through them and eventually eliminate the polar bear below.
4. Drop the fourth penguin to the right of the uppermost polar bear, then use the ninja ability take it out and bounce across the rightmost ice blocks to break them up.
5. Drop the fifth penguin into the chamber of ice blocks to the left of the leftmost polar bear to break up the ice walls further.
6. Drop the sixth penguin to the left of the leftmost polar bear and use the ninja ability to eliminate it.
7. Drop the seventh penguin above the gap in to rightmost section of ice blocks, then use the ninja ability to pass through the gap and eliminate the remaining polar bear to complete the level.
