  • The Crantzdorf Estate was a luxury estate located in Johnson City, Tennessee. The estate is owned by businessman Steve Grindstaff. On January 10, 2009, the main house complex caught on fire. Twenty-five firefighters responded to the scene, which took over two hours to put out the fire. While no one was home during the fire, the building sustained a lot of damage.     According to reports the fire started on the night of January 10, 2009, around 8:00 p.m.. Johnson City police and fire departments responded to the scene. Once there, however, they were delayed from fighting the fire because of an electrical entry gate that was shorted out because of the fire.
