Cranium is a popular board game that combines trivia, artistic, word, and performance skills. It is billed as "The Game For Your Whole Brain".
Cranium Decks and Card Types
- Creative Cat - Artistic Skills
- Cloodle: Players must sketch a clue for their teammate to guess. Similar to the game of Pictionary.
- Sensosketch: The as a Cloodle card, but the artist's eye must remain closed while drawing.
- Sculptorades: Player is given a piece of clay in which they must sculpt a clue for their teammate(s) to guess.
- Data Head - Trivia Knowledge
- Factoid: The team confers to answer a trivia question. Similar to the game of Trivial Pursuit.
- Selectaquest: The same as Factoid, but the team is given four answers to choose from.
- Polygraph: The team confers and decides whether the statement given on the card is true or false.
- Word Worm - Language Skills
- Spellbound: One person on the team must spell the word given on the first try.
- Gnilleps: The same as spellbound, but the word must be spelled backwards.
- Lexicon: The team is given an obscure word and the team must choose one of four choices of the correct definition.
- Zelpuz: The team is given an anagram puzzle and must unscramble the letters to find the answer. A clue is given with the puzzle to make it easier.
- Blankout: The team is given a word, phrase or title with letters missing. The team must fill in the blanks to find the answer. A clue is given with the puzzle to make it easier.
- Star Performer - Performance Skills
- Cameo: A player must act out a word for his teammates to guess. No words may be used. Similar to the game of Charades.
- Copycat: A player must imitate a famous person or character for their teammates to guess.
- Humdinger: A player must hum or whistle a famous tune for their teammates to guess.
